Youth Ballet Company

Cleveland Ballet Youth Company is a classically trained youth ballet group made up of young dancers of exceptional potential. The mission of CBYC is to train dancers (ages 14-18) in preparation of fulfilling Cleveland Ballet’s core of professional dancers. The program will serve to provide the foundation of dancers for professional performances by the Cleveland Ballet Company. Acceptance into the CBYC is by audition only.

Under the Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe, Repertory Director Rainer Martinez, and Artistic Associates Elizabeth Eberts and Meghan Haas, members of the CBYC will participate in a well-balanced schedule of classes and rehearsals that will include: classical ballet technique, pointe, variations, character and modern. CBYC Members will obtain performance experience through outreach workshops, in studio presentations, as well as theatre performances. They will also have the opportunity to perform at such venues as Playhouse Square, Severance Hall, Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland Institute of Music, among others.
