Nashializ Gomez Orengo
CLEVELAND BALLET COMPANY ARTIST
Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Nashializ Gomez Orengo started her training at the Escuela Especializada en ballet Julián E. Blanco where she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, dance history. There she performed in Coppelia, The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, The Nutcracker, and La Bayadere. While there, Orengo was also training at Mauro Youth Ballet Company where she danced Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, and other ballet pieces by Marena Perez. Nashializ later joined Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico where she danced The Nutcracker, Coppelia, La Vivandiere, and Napoli Pas de Six.
She came to Cleveland in the summer of 2017 where she danced as a trainee for a year before being promoted to company artist. While with Cleveland Ballet she has had the privilege of performing The Nutcracker, Alice, Coppelia, Le Corsaire Pas de Six, Carmen, Magic Flute, and other pieces by Gladisa Guadalupe.
