CLEVELAND BALLET COMPANY ARTIST
Mattia Teora was born in Milan, Italy. At 12, he started learning ballet and after two years the dream grew so much that he decided to enroll in a professional academy in his hometown named Centro Formazione AIDA. In 2016 he received a scholarship for San Francisco Ballet School. Throughout his training, Mattia attended summer programs with Paris Opera Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School. Mattia has also attended the 2019 Grand Audition in Barcelona where he placed as a Finalist. In his career, he has danced many roles but the most memorable for him are the Russian dance performed with San Francisco Ballet and the lead role in “Little Story” by Joshua Peugh performed with Tulsa Ballet. Upon graduation in 2019, Mattia was offered a contract for Tulsa Ballet II (Junior Company) and was a member for two years until joining Cleveland Ballet in 2021. Mattia is very excited to start this new journey with Cleveland Ballet.
